Kimi Marin is a Portland-based yoga teacher who helps people find clarity in their mind, body and spirit. She guides students through their practice by riding the waves of breath, energetically aligning breath and body.

Kimi has a master’s degree in literature, and loves to combine the power of stories with yoga. She often weaves the myths and stories about various poses into the class. Her transformative Yogic Lore Flow workshops are a fun combination of stories, asana, meditation, and mantra. She has writings published on several online sites including Yoganonymous and BeYogi. She is certified at RYT 200 hours in Vinyasa and is currently training towards her RYT 500 certification in Core Strength Vinyasa. Stephanie combines her vivid personality and inspiring attitude with principles of Core Strength Vinyasa into refreshing classes that are unique and amusing; Not to mention challenging.

Stephanie includes anatomical principles in an energetic approach to traditional linear poses that are totally customizable as you breathe your way to a sense of calm. In 2005, Jill left the corporate world behind to pursue her love of yoga full-time. She is passionate about sharing the beauty of Vinyasa Yoga. Jill joyfully creates powerful and flowing sequences, linked together by breath and great intention. Her mindful teaching style naturally leads students to a state of strength, balance, flexibility and overall well-being. While Jill’s classes may be challenging, she makes them accessible to everyone. She strives to support her students in cultivating a devoted practice infused with immense joy.

Jill has completed and led numerous teacher trainings. In 2012, she created and successfully launched Elevate Yoga Trainings, a mentorship program for yoga teachers looking to catapult their teaching to the next level and dramatically deepen their knowledge base. This year, she was approved by Yoga Alliance to launch her very own RYT200 Teacher Training Series. She is a dedicated teacher determined to help students & teachers discover what makes them feel truly ALIVE. As a practicing massage therapist, anatomy, safe alignment, loads of hands-on assists and nurturing support are a huge part of her classes. She teaches at Yoga Pearl, and privates for small corporate companies. She also leads trainings + workshops, participates in conferences + festivals and leads group yoga adventures somewhere around the globe twice a year! Tony currently teaches at YoYoYogis and Unfold Studios, and he was recently asked to lead a class in Pioneer Square for the International Day of Yoga. This year, Tony was also honored by Living Yoga as the ‘Volunteer Instructor of the Year.” Tony is a member of warriors For Healing, whose mission is to provide yoga to Veterans, their families and First Responders.ers who are may be suffering the ravages of PTSD.

JamieJamie Silverstein

Jamie is a US Olympian, E-RYT 500, Studio Owner / Director: The Grinning Yogi – PDX & The Grinning Yogi! She has trained with Manorama, Laughing Lotus NYC, Sheri Celentano, Richelle Ricard, Jonny Kest and notable others. Jamie is a member of the Zgirls Athlete Advisory Board, regularly speaks about Eating Disorder Recovery and has presented at: The Renfrew Conference, Cornell University, Erin Leah Robarge Memorial Conference and ED Recovery Clinics nationwide.

When asked “why yoga?”, Jamie says “I share yoga because it is my way to share the human quality of connection. For me, yoga is alive.”

Raj 1ProfileRaj Patra

Raj’s yoga journey started in Kolkata, India at the age of seven at Ghosh’s Yoga College which was established in 1923 by Bishnu Ghosh, younger brother of Sri Paramhansa Yogananda, the author of “Autobiography of a Yogi”. Incidentally, Raj grew up on the same street, blocks away from the birthplace and house of Swami Vivekananda, the personality single-handedly responsible for introducing Yoga and Hinduism to the United States in 1893. For Raj, yoga involved not only physical exercises, pranayama, and meditation, but a prescription of lifestyle, in close association with Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and helped cure ailments and improve quality of mental and physical connections. With BS in Physics and in Mathematics and after fourteen years of corporate jobs in various hi-tech industries as Program Manager and Management Consultant, Raj’s yoga practice and yoga teaching is grounded by the fundamental belief that stress through the rat-race of material success is the biggest contributor to the unhappiness and increasing health issues in the world. “Yoga helps in not only re-balancing our lives, but also in raising an intellectual awareness that we are all connected beings living off of the same quantum mechanical resources.”

Raj’s current mission, along with his wife, Kelly is to educate yoga practitioners and teachers about Yoga in its authentic and universal way, enriched by centuries of lineage.

Leah has been practicing yoga for 20 years, and completed her 200hr TT in 2013. Leah brings a lot of depth to her classes, helping students to practice more than just the physical asana; she encourages them to embody yoga beyond the postures. When she’s not on the mat, she loves trips to the mountain or the beach and bike rides around Portland!

Pleased to introduce you all to Skylor Powell! She’s currently the manager at CorePower Yoga – Portland, as well as an author, foodie, motivator, and all around amazing human being. When asked about her passions, Skylor says they are “Equality from one human to the next and kindness between thoughts. Live music, paper and pen, making delicious sauces to put on heaping piles of vegetables followed by a big bowl of ice cream!”
